WANTED: Project Engineer

Job Description

Citadel Environmental Services, Inc. seeks a full-time Project Engineer to participate in field work and management of staff and high-profile Engineering and Environmental Science related projects, conducting subsurface soil & groundwater investigations. Candidate should possess solid experience conducting/preparing and managing Phase I ESA’s and Phase II Environmental Investigations, designing/implementing soil and groundwater, developing methane mitigation measures, treatment systems, preparing and managing Remedial Action Plans, and Site Safety Plans. Experience with landfill testing and LFG mitigation system design a real plus.  Willingness to travel, work after hours and weekends as projects require; good physical health and ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment, including respirators; a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.  Ideal candidate will possess 5 to 10 years of progressive experience.

Skills/Qualifications:

1. BS in  Engineering or related experience required, Civild Engineering desired

2. Minimum five years of progressive experience

3. Registation as a Professional Engineer desired, EIT with ability to obtain PE or QSD within 1 year of hire is acceptable. 

4. 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification desired.

5. Experience conducting/preparing Phase II Environmental Investigations, designing/implementing treatment systems, preparing and managing        Remedial Action Plans, Site Safety Plans, etc.

6. Self-Starter and responsiveness is a must, with the ability to multi-task.

7. Knowledge of construction management, blue prints, Proficient with MS Office, Outlook, Word and Excel skills

8. Should possess good communication, organizational skills and time management practices

9. Limited travel may be required.

WANTED: Project Assistant

Job Description

Citadel Environmental Services, Inc. seeks a full-time Project Assistant to provide clerical and technical support services such as data entry, proposal and report preparation, and various other office tasks.  Ideal candidate will be familiar with topics related to industrial hygiene, environmental science, and/or an environmental engineering. A college diploma is desired, but not required.  However, a background in math and science is helpful, but not necessary.  The successful candidate must possess strong written and oral skills and be self-motivated. He/She will also be a high-energy, people person, with a desire to grow and develop professionally.  Candidate will work in Glendale, however Orange County will be considered.  

Skills/Qualifications:

1. A high school diploma is required, however a college degree is desired.

2. Self starter and responsiveness is a must.

3. MS Office, Outlook, Word and Excel skills are preferred.

4. Should possess good communication, organizational skills and time management practices.
