AEG Farmers Field

Citadel Environmental Services, Inc. (Citadel) was contracted by L.A. Event Center, LLC to perform a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (Phase I ESA) of the property identified as Farmer’s Field.

The purpose of the Phase I ESA was to review past and present land use practices and to evaluate the presence, or likely presence, of any hazardous substances or petroleum products that have been discharged into the property’s structure, ground, groundwater, or surface water. The Phase I ESA was conducted with the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Standard of Practice E157-05 and the standards of care and diligence normally practiced by Citadel.

The scope of services for this assessment consisted of the following:

  • Performed a site inspection to verify current site conditions, and checked for visible evidence of previously disposed and/or currently present hazardous waste, surface contamination, underground and above ground storage tanks (USTs/ASTs), suspect polychlorinated biphenyls  PCBs), and other potential environmental hazards;
  • Conducted a visual survey of the adjacent properties and the immediate vicinity to determine if any nearby sites posed a significant environmental threat to the property site;
  • Reviewed currently and readily available documents, including maps, aerial photographs, governmental databases of known hazardous waste sites and underground tanks, other consultant reports, fire insurance maps, and other accessible records;
  • Consulted with appropriate governmental agencies having jurisdiction relative to past history of the property, complaints or incidents in the immediate area, and permits that may have been issued;
  • Prepared a report, inclusive of our findings and recommendations, with applicable illustrations and documentation.
