ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY IMPLEMENTATION  - HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES 

 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION 

The Housing Authority for the City of Los Angeles is one of the largest public housing agencies in the United States and has been in existence since 1938. Citadel has been instrumental in supporting the Authority during their development of environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures. More specifically, Citadel has drafted policies pertaining to hazardous materials identification and remediation (asbestos, lead paint, PCBs, mercury, etc.), prepared health and safety policies pertaining to hazardous exposures (silica), and prepared an asbestos-containing materials database to assist construction project managers during the planning of their projects. Additionally, Citadel frequently provides health and safety training to Authority employees on a wide variety of subjects such as Hazard Communication and Respiratory Protection.
